VU Clothing is a small company
with a bunch of big plans.
We're all about the details,
but we keep it simple.
After a 2 year hiatus, VU is back,
and we intend to do things differently.
Returning to stores this Spring.
VU Clothing, originally the brainchild of Sydney bodyboarder Harry Dixon, has made its return after an extended hiatus. VU is being re-released during the Spring of 2010 by new owner Toby Simm, with the aim of breaking down the boundaries of traditional bodyboarding apparel and forming a design-driven lifestyle brand. With a crew of young, extremely talented graphic designers and artists behind him, Toby's vision for the brand is to create a label which combines fashion, music, art and culture with the modern bodyboarding lifestyle. VU hits shelves this Spring of 2010, and expect a larger summer release later in the year. All VU tees are produced right here in South East Queensland, and we use 100% organic cotton, which means the fibre was grown without the use of harmful pesticides or fertilisers and that the farming methods used are sustainable. The fabrics are dyed using eco-friendly dye stuffs.
The V Tee is an innovative concept from VU Clothing. The brand is not about whacking the logo all over its products, far from it in fact. However, we will release 'The V Tee' each range, with a different design each time that focuses on the letter 'V'. The idea behind The V Tee is to only ever print 100 of each design, thus creating a limited edition, exclusive t-shirt. Not only that but VU Clothing donates $5 from every sale of The V Tee to SurfAid International, a non-profit humanitarian organisation whose aim is to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing.
